
Duas for the First 10 Days of Dhul Hijjah

1. Dua for Success in Duniya & Akhirah
Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanah, wa fil-akhirati hasanah, wa qina ‘adhaban-nar
Our Lord, grant us goodness in this world and goodness in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.
(Quran 2:201)
2. Dua for Seeking Forgiveness
Astaghfirullah alladhi la ilaha illa Huwa, Al-Hayyul-Qayyum, wa atubu ilayh
I seek forgiveness from Allah, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer, and I repent to Him.
(Abu Dawud 1517)
3. Dua for Yourself & Your Parents
Rabbighfir li waliwalidayya walil mu’minina yawma yaqumul hisab
My Lord, forgive me, my parents, and the believers on the Day the account is established.
(Quran 14:41)
4. Dua for Whatever You Need
Rabbi inni lima anzalta ilayya min khayrin faqir
My Lord, I am truly in need of whatever good You send down to me.
(Quran 28:24)
5. Dua that Makes Jannah Obligatory
Raditu billahi Rabban, wa bil-Islami dinan, wa bi-Muhammadin Nabiyya
I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, Islam as my religion, and Muhammad as my Prophet.
(Ibn Majah 3870)
6. Dua for Seeking Relief from Distress & Difficulties
La ilaha illa anta, subhanaka inni kuntu minaz-zalimin
There is no deity except You; Glory be to You. Indeed, I have been among the wrongdoers.
(Quran 21:87)
7. Dua for Pure Rizq & Accepted Deeds
Allahumma inni as’aluka ‘ilman nafi‘an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa ‘amalan mutaqabbalan
O Allah, grant me beneficial knowledge, pure provision, and accepted deeds.
(Sunan Ibn Majah 925)
8. Dua for Protection from Poverty & Hardship
Allahumma inni a‘udhu bika minal-faqr, wal-qillah, wadh-dhillah, wa a‘udhu bika an azlima aw uzlam
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from poverty, lack, humiliation, and from wrongdoing, whether I commit it or it is done to me.
(Sunan Abi Dawud 1544)
9. Dua for a home in Jannah
Rabbi ibni li ‘indaka baytan fil-jannah
My Lord, build for me near You a house in Paradise.
(Quran 66:11)
10. Dua for Protection from Shirk
Allahumma inni a‘udhu bika an ushrika bika wa ana a‘lamu, wa astaghfiruka lima la a‘lam
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from associating partners with You knowingly, and I ask Your forgiveness for what I do unknowingly.
(Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 716)
11. The Shortest Most Powerful Prayer
Allāhumma inni as‘alukal-afiyah
O Allah, I ask you for Afiyah.
12. Dua for Seeking Jannah & Protection from Hellfire
Allahumma inni as‘aluka al-jannah, wa a‘udhu bika min an-nar
O Allah, I ask You for Paradise, and I seek refuge in You from the Fire.
(Sahih Ibn Majah 2/328)
